LDY Knives Kite V1.5 - Trainer - Ivory and Black Aluminum

LDY Kite AL V1.5 Trainer Balisong in Ivory and Black

The LDY Kite AL V1.5 Trainer is the practice version of LDY's refined aluminum Kite, built so you can learn aerials, rollovers, and fanning combos without a sharpened edge anywhere near your hands. This Ivory and Black build flips with the same balance and feel as the live Kite AL. For every Kite build we carry, see our LDY Balisong collection.

Trainer Blade

In place of a live edge, the Kite AL Trainer carries an unsharpened 4.5 inch trainer blade with a functional bottle opener, so drops and fumbled catches cost you nothing but a little pride. When you are ready to move up, the Kite AL V1.5 live OG shares the same handles and balance, so the combos you drill here carry straight over.

Pivots and Balance

Dual side reinforced pivots and anti pinch pivot protection keep the action smooth through long practice sessions. Balance sits close to neutral with a classic momentum feel, and the adjustable weight system lets you tune it as your style develops.

Handle

Dual stage CNC machining holds tight tolerances across the aluminum handles, and LDY tunes the acoustics for a clean, crisp sound on every catch. The Kite AL is latchless, which keeps the handles free for fast transitions. Want a different color? The Kite AL V1.5 Trainer in Oasis and Blue runs the same build.

Flipping

At 10 inches open, 5.5 inches closed, and 4 ounces, the Kite AL Trainer has the full size reach and weight for competition style combos, and it is a smart first balisong for anyone learning. Compare it with other trainers and live flippers in our balisong knives collection.
