The Q4TTRO was built to mark the tenth anniversary of the T.R.E. — LionSteel's 2015 Blade Show Overall Knife of the Year — and it pushes the multi-deployment concept further than anything in the lineup. Where the T.R.E. offered three interchangeable opening configurations, the Q4TTRO builds four directly into the pivot area: a removable back flipper tab via the ReF system, a front flipper, a nail nick, and standard two-handed operation. All four are available without any hardware changes. You choose your preferred method and carry accordingly.
At 3.25 oz with a titanium frame, the Q4TTRO is notably light for what it is — a full titanium-framed, ceramic ball bearing flipper with a 3.31-inch blade running 3.8mm thick. The ceramic bearings are a step up from standard steel ball bearings in corrosion resistance and long-term smoothness, and they pair well with the ReF flipper tab system for a deployment that stays consistent across all carry configurations. The titanium SOLID clip is reversible for ambidextrous carry and matched in finish to the titanium spacer on titanium and carbon fiber variants. On burlap micarta and black G-10 models, both the spacer and clip hardware shift to G-10 to keep the build cohesive across material tiers.
Blade Steel
Every Q4TTRO ships with a CPM MagnaCut blade in a satin finish. MagnaCut is a nitrogen-alloyed powder metallurgy steel developed specifically to close the gap between corrosion resistance and toughness that most high-carbide super steels have to compromise on. For a daily carry knife expected to see moisture, food prep, and hard use, it's a strong steel selection that doesn't require the careful maintenance of a tool steel.
Handle Options
The Q4TTRO is available in titanium frames with FatCarbon inlays in bronze, blue, and grey, as well as a full carbon fiber scale, green burlap micarta, and black G-10. The titanium FatCarbon variants represent the premium tier; the micarta and G-10 options offer the same blade and frame quality at a lower price point.
LionSteel Warranty
LionSteel backs the Q4TTRO against defects in materials and workmanship. Verified manufacturing defects will be repaired or replaced at no cost.
