The LionSteel ROK is one of the more technically ambitious production folders on the market, packing three distinct LionSteel-patented systems into a SOLID integral handle that's milled from a single block of aluminum or titanium. Designed by Michele Pensato — the same designer behind the T.R.E. and Myto — the ROK builds on that lineage with a wider feature set and a more robust carry profile. At 7.80 inches overall with an 83mm blade running 4.5mm thick, this is a knife built to handle real work without sacrificing anything in daily carry.
The H.WAYL system is the detail that separates the ROK from nearly every other production knife in this category. The clip is spring-loaded and retracts flush into the handle when not needed, eliminating the snagging and printing that come with traditional fixed clips. Pull it out for pocket carry, and it locks securely in place. On satin-finish aluminum variants, the clip is color-matched to the handle; on black-blade versions, it runs black throughout.
The Rotoblock system handles two jobs simultaneously — it functions as an overtravel stop that protects the integral lockbar from over-flexing, and as a secondary lock that prevents unintentional blade release during hard use. The lockbar itself is reinforced with a hardened steel insert at the blade interface, a standard LionSteel detail that extends the life of the lock regardless of how hard the knife gets used. The blade opens on ball bearings and the flipper tab is removable via the included key, giving the ROK the same carry flexibility found on the T.R.E.
The blade geometry is a flat ground drop point with a partial swedge that stops short of the tip — a clean, functional profile that slices well without sacrificing tip strength.
Handle and Steel Options
Aluminum variants come in black, red, and orange and represent the most accessible entry into the ROK platform. Titanium variants step up to 6Al4V handles in bronze and grey for buyers who want increased durability and a more premium feel. At the top of the lineup, the ROK is available with Chad Nichols Scrambled Damascus blades on titanium frames in blue and gold — acid etched and built for collectors who want a working knife that holds its own aesthetically.
LionSteel Warranty
LionSteel backs the ROK against defects in materials and workmanship. Verified manufacturing defects will be repaired or replaced at no cost.
