AEB-L Fixed Blade with Maple Burl Handles

The Lishen Dakota is a compact fixed blade designed for outdoor use and bushcraft. The AEB-L steel and maple burl handles combine traditional materials with modern knife-making techniques. Lishen Knives is known for handcrafted production knives with attention to detail.

Blade

The 3.875" blade uses AEB-L stainless steel at 0.125" thick. AEB-L is a classic Swedish carbon steel often used in high-end kitchen knives. It takes a fine polished edge and holds it well for its hardness range. The straight edge profile is effective for controlled cuts and slicing tasks.

Handle

The 4.875" handle is made from red and black maple burl with mosaic pins. Maple burl is a dense, stable wood that provides excellent grip even when wet. The full tang construction adds strength for prying and batoning tasks. At 6.5oz it's light enough for all-day carry but substantial enough for hard use.

Carry

Ships with a leather sheath that provides secure retention. No lock mechanism - this is a fixed blade with a full tang, so the blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel. The sheath can be worn on a belt or attached to a pack.
