Luft Concepts is what happens when two knife enthusiasts meet on the internet and decide the hobby needs their designs in it. Ryan Rimmer and Jake Wright founded the company in the summer of 2020, and rather than compromise on execution, they put their debut designs in the hands of Reate Knives, whose machining sits at the top of the production world, while building toward American manufacturing under the Luft USA banner.
The AVNT is the do-it-all flagship: a 3.25 inch Böhler M390 blade with a deep hollow grind and hand-rubbed satin finish, deployed by thumb hole or a rear flipper that sits flush once open, riding bearings inside a titanium liner lock at just over three ounces. Our configurations pair marbled carbon fiber scales or honeycomb-milled titanium with zirconium pivot collars and backspacers. The RWB steps up to a 3.5 inch CPM S90V blade in a titanium framelock, offered with shredded carbon fiber over bronze titanium, with both steels ranked in our knife steel guide and every handle material covered in our knife handle materials guide.
After two years developing domestic partnerships, the LTL became the first knife in the Luft USA line: a compact EDC fixed blade in CPM S45VN with Richlite scales, machined in Arizona in genuinely small quantities and shipped with a 3D-printed ambidextrous sheath wearing a pre-mounted UltiClip. Licensed designs like the Kansept-built QTRO and the new ATLS keep the catalog moving, and among enthusiast-designed folding knives, Luft has earned a following that buys every variant and apologizes to nobody.
