The Marfione Custom Halo III is a premium out-the-front knife from Microtech Knives, built for collectors who want top-tier fit, finish, and materials. This version features a tanto blade with a mirror polish and star grind, custom-tuned by the Marfione Custom shop.

Blade

The 4" tanto blade is made from M390MK, a powder metallurgy steel loaded with vanadium carbides for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The mirror polish finish shows off the star grind, a faceted blade grind that adds both visual depth and cutting performance. At .127" thick, the blade stays agile while retaining strength behind the tanto tip.

Handle

The handle is machined from black hardcoat anodized aircraft aluminum, a lightweight alloy treated with an anodized finish for added hardness and scratch resistance. At 3.42oz total, the knife carries light despite its full-size 9.25" overall length.

Carry

This is a manual out-the-front knife - the blade deploys and retracts along the handle's axis via a sliding mechanism rather than swinging open like a folder. The mechanism is hand-actuated, not automatic. The closed length of 5.25" makes it a manageable size for pocket carry.
