The McNees FX PSK is a compact personal skinning knife built for hunters and outdoorsmen who want a small, capable blade for detail work. This is a made-to-order piece from McNees Custom Knives, sized for a neck carry or as a backup to a larger fixed blade.

Blade

The 3.25" drop point blade is ground from MagnaCut steel at .125" thick, finished in an Atomic Stonewash. MagnaCut is a modern powder steel engineered specifically for knives, offering excellent edge retention, strong corrosion resistance, and enough toughness to handle skinning and detail cutting without chipping. The drop point profile keeps the tip controlled for precise work around joints and hide.

Handle

Coyote G-10 scales cover the handle, which matches the blade length at 3.25". G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that stays grippy when wet and resists cracking or fading over time. At just 2.72oz, the knife carries light enough to forget it's there until you need it.

Carry

A fitted Kydex sheath holds the knife securely with friction retention, suited to neck carry or attachment to a belt or pack strap. As a fixed blade, there's no lock to manage - the tang runs solid through the handle for a one-piece, no-moving-parts design.
