The Medford T-Bone is a titanium frame lock from Medford Knife & Tool, made in Phoenix, Arizona. Greg Medford first drew it up as a steak knife you could carry in your pocket, and it turned into a light, everyday folder that handles a ribeye at dinner and a stack of boxes at work with equal ease.
The 4 inch tanto gives you plenty of cutting edge on thin 0.125 inch stock, and the whole knife weighs just 3.7 ounces, so it carries without bulk. Titanium scales with acrylic inlays set the T-Bone apart from the rest of the Medford folding knife lineup, with a tortoise shell or mosaic look in place of sculpted titanium.
The T-Bone measures 4.625 inches closed and 8.625 inches open with an S45VN blade. Choose a DLC blade with DLC titanium and a tortoise shell acrylic inlay, with a DLC or bronze backspacer, or a tumbled blade with blue titanium and a mosaic inlay. S45VN holds an edge through daily cutting and resists corrosion, compared in our knife steel guide. For more light Medford frame locks, look at the Antik and M-48.
