1095 Cro-Van Fixed Blade with G-10 Handles

The Medford Task Master is a compact fixed blade built for everyday carry, camp chores, and general work tasks. Handmade by Medford Knife & Tool, it combines a full-tang build with a wharncliffe blade for precise, controlled cutting in a small package.

Blade

The 3" wharncliffe blade is made from 1095 Cro-Van steel with a black oxide finish. 1095 Cro-Van adds chromium and vanadium to the standard 1095 carbon steel recipe, improving toughness and wear resistance while still being easy to sharpen. The black oxide coating helps guard against corrosion. The wharncliffe profile has a straight edge with a drop point that angles down to the tip, giving excellent control for detail work and fine cutting tasks.

Handle

Blue and black G-10 scales are contoured for grip and comfort. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate, layered and resin-set under pressure, making it tough, light, and unaffected by moisture. The knife itself weighs 4.2oz, with a full tang that runs the entire length of the handle for added strength.

Carry

The Task Master ships with a top-grain leather pocket sheath, featuring a deep welt and stitched construction for durability. It is designed for pocket or belt carry, keeping the blade secure and accessible. With sheath, total carry weight comes to 6.3oz.
