1095 Cro-Van Fixed Blade with G-10 Handles

The Medford Task Master is a compact fixed blade built for everyday carry, camp chores, and light work tasks. Handmade by Medford Knife and Tool, it pairs a full tang wharncliffe blade with a slim profile that rides comfortably in the pocket.

Blade

The 3" wharncliffe blade is made from 1095 Cro-Van steel finished in black oxide. 1095 Cro-Van adds chromium and vanadium to the classic 1095 carbon steel recipe, improving wear resistance and toughness while retaining an edge that's easy to sharpen in the field. The black oxide finish helps guard against corrosion and cuts down on glare. The wharncliffe profile has a straight edge and a tip that drops in line with the spine, giving precise control for detail work and utility cutting.

Handle

Contoured G-10 scales cover the full tang. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate pressed under heat, valued for its light weight, durability, and grip even when wet. Total weight is 4.2oz for the knife alone, with the sheathed setup coming in at 6.3oz.

Carry

The Task Master ships with a top-grain leather pocket sheath featuring a deep welt and stitched construction, allowing it to be carried in the pocket or on the belt. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to engage - the full tang construction and sheath retention keep the blade secure during carry.
