The Medford Task Master is a compact, full-tang fixed blade built for everyday carry, camp chores, and detail work. Handmade by Medford Knife and Tool, it is sized to ride comfortably in a pocket while still handling real cutting tasks.

Blade

The 3" wharncliffe blade is made from 1095 Cro-Van steel finished in black oxide. 1095 Cro-Van adds chromium and vanadium to the classic 1095 carbon steel recipe, improving wear resistance and toughness while keeping the steel easy to sharpen. The black oxide finish helps resist corrosion and cuts glare. The wharncliffe profile has a straight edge and a sharply angled spine, giving excellent control for detail cuts and piercing tasks without a vulnerable tip.

Handle

Gray and black G-10 scales are fitted to the full tang. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that is lightweight, stable in wet or dry conditions, and resistant to cracking. The handle is contoured for a comfortable grip despite its compact size, and the full tang construction adds strength and durability. At 4.2oz, the knife carries light for its full-tang build.

Carry

The Task Master ships with a top-grain leather pocket sheath featuring a deep welt and stitched construction, designed to carry securely in a pocket or on a belt. There is no lock mechanism since this is a fixed blade - the full tang provides the strength and reliability needed for hard use.
