1095 Cro-Van Fixed Blade with G-10 Handles

The Medford Task Master is a compact, full-tang fixed blade built for everyday carry, camp chores, and light work tasks. Handmade by Medford Knife and Tool, it pairs a purposeful wharncliffe blade with contoured handles sized for comfortable, controlled use.

Blade

The 3" wharncliffe blade is made from 1095 Cro-Van steel with a black oxide finish at 0.165" thick. 1095 Cro-Van adds chromium and vanadium to the base carbon steel, improving wear resistance and toughness while remaining easy to sharpen. The black oxide coating guards against corrosion and cuts glare. The wharncliffe profile has a straight edge and a dropping spine, giving precise control for detail work and push cuts.

Handle

Green and black G-10 scales are fitted to the full tang. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate pressed under high pressure, prized for being lightweight, stable in wet conditions, and resistant to cracking. The handle is contoured for grip, and the complete knife weighs 4.2oz.

Carry

Includes a top-grain leather pocket sheath with deep welt and stitched construction, designed for belt or pocket carry. There is no lock mechanism to speak of since this is a fixed, full-tang blade - strength and rigidity come from the one-piece steel construction itself.
