D2 Fixed Blade with G-10 Handles

The Medford TBF Breakdown Fighter is a large, heavy-duty fixed blade built for serious field work and hard use. With a nearly 9-inch blade and a full 15 inches overall, this is a substantial knife for users who need capability beyond typical EDC tasks, made in limited numbers at Medford's Phoenix, AZ shop.

Blade

The 8.5" blade is D2 tool steel finished with a tumbled distressed coating, ground at 0.270" thick. D2 offers strong edge retention and wear resistance, holding an edge through demanding use while remaining tough enough to handle a blade of this size. The tumbled distressed finish adds corrosion resistance and hides wear marks from field use.

Handle

The handle uses G-10, a fiberglass laminate prized for its durability and secure grip even when wet. At 6.5" long, the handle is sized for a full, confident hold, and the complete knife weighs 28oz, giving it a substantial, built-to-last feel in hand.

Carry

It ships with a leather sheath for secure belt carry, suited to the knife's size and weight.
