MagnaCut Fixed Blade with G-10 Handles

The Reiff Rut is a dedicated hunting knife built around the realities of field dressing, caping, and quartering game. The straight-back profile, precision tip, and sweeping belly work together to handle everything from delicate cape cuts to long skinning strokes without switching tools.

Blade

The 3.81" blade is made from CPM MagnaCut, a modern steel that combines high edge retention with excellent corrosion resistance and toughness - a rare combination that makes it well suited to wet, blood-and-brush field conditions. The high flat saber grind cuts through hide and connective tissue without wedging, and the stonewash finish resists glare and hides field wear. Jimping is placed on the spine near the tip, at the front and rear of the handle, and on the handle where the forefinger rests, giving constant tactile control even with wet or gloved hands.

Handle

Dark Earth G-10 scales cover the handle. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that stays grippy when wet and resists cracking or swelling, which matters when the knife is covered in blood and tissue during processing. At 6oz, the Rut stays light and maneuverable through long field sessions.

Carry

The Rut ships with a black Kydex modular sheath built for ambidextrous carry, so it rides equally well on either hip. Kydex sheds moisture and grime better than leather, making cleanup after field dressing straightforward.
