MagnaCut Fixed Blade with Micarta Handles

The Reiff Rut is a purpose-built hunting knife designed around the real demands of field dressing and camp work. From the first cape cut to the last quarter loaded on the pack, every detail on this blade - the profile, the grind, the jimping - is placed to help hunters break an animal down cleanly and safely.

Blade

The 3.81" blade is CPM MagnaCut, a modern steel prized for its edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness - a rare combination that makes it well suited to a knife that has to perform through hours of field work. The straight-back profile puts a flat spine under your finger for control, the precision tip handles delicate cape work, and the full sweeping belly drives long skinning and quartering cuts. A high flat saber grind slices through hide and connective tissue without wedging. The stonewash finish resists glare and hides the wear of blood and brush. Jimping is placed at the spine near the tip, the spine at both ends of the handle, and the handle's forefinger rest, giving constant tactile feedback on hand position even in low light or with wet, bloody hands.

Handle

The handle is Micarta, a composite made from linen or canvas cloth layered with resin under pressure, prized for its durability and secure grip even when wet. At 4.43" long and paired with a 5.4oz overall weight, the Rut stays planted in hand through the mess of real field dressing.

Carry

The Rut ships with a black Kydex modular ambidextrous sheath, built to carry comfortably on either side and adapt to different belt or pack setups. As a fixed blade, there's no lock to manage - just a solid, one-piece design ready to draw and go.
