Rite in the Rain All-Weather Paper uses a water-based coating on wood fiber sheets. The coating creates a moisture barrier that repels water while keeping the paper texture for pencil and pen use. The 32-pound paper accepts standard pencils when wet and ballpoint pens when dry, with permanent ink that resists washing off. Unlike synthetic waterproof papers, Rite in the Rain paper is fully recyclable through standard curbside programs and meets archival standards for long-term storage, so field notes from this season are still legible decades from now.
Rite in the Rain all-weather pens run pressurized ink cartridges that work from 30 below zero to 250 degrees and write underwater to 35 feet. The pressurized system pushes ink through the tip regardless of gravity, allowing upside-down writing in any conditions, with proprietary ink that won't freeze, evaporate, or leak.
