The RMJ Titanisubo is what happens when someone looks at a perfectly reasonable hickory bat and decides the only logical next step is to stretch it well past normal standards, add eight sides, and stud the entire head like a medieval holiday decoration. Stretching to a full 48 inches, this one-off creation weighs 6.76 pounds, not enough to be impossible, but just enough to make you question the life choices that led to holding it. The eight-sided head is lined with domed metal studs on every face, because apparently stopping at four would have been “too subtle,” and the tapered handle provides just enough control to maintain the illusion that this was engineered with intention. Finished in either a deep black or a dark red stain, the Titanisubo looks far more sophisticated than any oversized wooden implement has a right to.
