AEB-L Fixed Blade with Acrylic Handle

The Rocco Handmade Fillet is a specialized knife designed for processing fish. The long, thin blade with a trailing point allows the knife to follow the contours of fish bones for clean filleting. The acrylic handle provides a lightweight, durable grip optimized for wet conditions.

Blade

The 5.75" blade uses AEB-L stainless steel at 0.081" thick. AEB-L is a Swedish stainless steel originally developed for razor blades, with a fine grain structure that takes an exceptionally keen edge. It offers good edge retention and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for wet environments like fishing. The trailing point blade shape is optimized for filleting fish, with a long sweeping curve for slicing and moderate tip strength for piercing.

Handle

The acrylic handle is lightweight at just 4.13oz total weight. Acrylic is a durable plastic that resists water and won't degrade in wet conditions. The handle length is 4.25" for a comfortable grip during extended filleting tasks.

Carry

Ships with a leather sheath. No lock mechanism - this is a fixed blade with a full tang, so the blade is rigidly attached to the handle. The sheath provides safe storage and transport.
