on Orders Over $99The Rocco Handmade Raven Prototype is a custom fixed blade knife designed for those who appreciate traditional craftsmanship and vintage aesthetics. This knife combines the refined edge-holding properties of AEB-L steel with the classic look and feel of paper micarta handles, making it ideal for collectors and enthusiasts of handmade cutlery.
Blade
The 3.75" blade is made from AEB-L steel, a Swedish stainless steel originally developed for razor blades. With a hardness of 59-62 HRC, AEB-L offers a very fine grain structure that takes an exceptionally keen edge. It's best suited for applications where slicing performance matters, such as custom kitchen knives or EDC folders. The blade thickness of 0.089" ensures a good balance between strength and agility.
Handle
The handle is crafted from vintage Allied Signal paper micarta, a material made from layers of paper fabric soaked in phenolic resin and compressed under heat and pressure. Paper micarta offers a slightly textured grip that improves when wet, providing a warm and comfortable feel in the hand. It's tough, lightweight, and develops a beautiful patina with use, adding to the knife's character over time.
Carry
The knife comes with a leather sheath, which provides secure and stylish carry options. The sheath is designed to protect the blade and ensure easy access when needed. The overall length of the knife is 7.75", with a handle length of 4", making it compact yet functional for various tasks.
Weighing just 3.46 ounces, the Rocco Handmade Raven Prototype is lightweight and easy to carry, making it a versatile tool for everyday use or as a collectible piece.
This knife is handmade in the USA, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
