The Scandinoff Valknut Classic is a large Scandinavian-style fixed blade built for bushcraft and outdoor work. Its Viking-inspired styling and curly birch handle make it a knife for users who want traditional Nordic design paired with modern steel.

Blade

The 6.56" blade is made from Sleipner steel with a stonewash finish. Sleipner is a Swedish tool steel valued for its toughness and ability to hold a keen edge through hard use, while resisting chipping better than many high-carbide steels. The stonewash finish helps mask scratches and adds mild corrosion resistance. At this length, the blade has plenty of reach for carving, food prep, and general camp chores.

Handle

The handle is crafted from curly birch, a dense Scandinavian hardwood prized for its wavy grain pattern and natural durability. Each handle carries unique figuring since the grain varies piece to piece. The knife weighs 7.9oz, giving it a balanced, substantial feel without being heavy to carry.

Carry

The Valknut Classic ships with a leather sheath designed for belt carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to engage - the knife's strength comes from its solid, one-piece construction, with the sheath providing secure retention in the field.
