on Orders Over $99The Sliwkosky Rambler is a fixed blade knife that combines traditional forms with modern functionality, crafted for real-world use by outdoor professionals and enthusiasts alike. Designed by Jakub Sliwka himself, it offers refined ergonomics paired with the cutting power and versatility needed for bushcraft, survival, or general field tasks. Each piece stands out for its clean execution and thoughtful construction.
Blade
The 5.875" blade is made from Elmax steel, a premium stainless option known for its excellent balance of characteristics. It features a stonewash finish at 0.175" thick, enhancing durability by reducing the visibility of scratches and providing some protection against corrosion. Elmax offers very good edge retention, excellent toughness given its high carbide volume, and superb corrosion resistance due to its 18% chromium content. This makes it well-suited for EDC folders, tactical knives, and especially in environments where moisture is a concern.
Handle
The handle is crafted from Micarta, a material known for its tough and lightweight properties. While the specific type (linen or canvas) isn't detailed here, Micarta generally offers a reliable grip that can become more pronounced with use, providing an enhanced tactile feel. The handle measures 5.5" in length and contributes to the knife's overall ergonomic design.
Carry
The Sliwkosky Rambler is equipped with a tan Kydex sheath that ensures secure retention of the blade, making it practical for various carrying preferences whether on belt or pack. At 9.03 oz and an overall length of 11.375", this knife strikes a balance between portability and robust performance.
