Sniper Bladeworks was founded in 2009 by Lance Abernathy, who spent more than eleven years on a SWAT team as an entry man, sniper, and team leader before turning that experience into knife design. The MAMU is Sniper's interpretation of the classic field knife, proven on camera when it featured on Discovery Channel's Man, Woman, Wild and proven since in the hands of hunters and preppers. Built around a 420HC blade with the standard ergonomic grip, G-10 handle scales, and a bow drill socket machined into the handle for friction fire, it's a survival knife that earns the name, overbuilt for camp chores, processing, and the abuse a primary blade absorbs.
The Dashi takes its name from the kiridashi, the traditional Japanese single-bevel utility knife, and reimagines it in PVD-coated 1095 as a neck knife, backup tool, or companion to the MAMU, with a sheath included for easy carry.
