AUS-8 Fixed Blade with Stacked Leather Handle

The SOG 40th Anniversary Bowie commemorates four decades of the SOG brand, built as a recreation of the original 1986 S1 Bowie carried by MACV-SOG forces in Vietnam. This is a serialized limited edition piece for collectors, complete with a pine presentation case, a companion Zippo lighter, and a certificate of authenticity.

Blade

The 6.13" clip point blade is forged from AUS-8 stainless steel with a polished PVD coating. AUS-8 offers a solid balance of edge retention and toughness while remaining easy to resharpen, and the corrosion resistance keeps this piece looking sharp on display. The clip point profile with a brass guard reflects the classic bowie fighting knife silhouette this design pays tribute to.

Handle

The handle is built from stacked leather, discs of leather compressed and layered around the tang to create a handle that is warm to the touch and full of natural texture. A brass pommel caps the end, matching the guard for a cohesive traditional bowie look.

Carry

The included black leather sheath carries the knife securely on a belt and features a built-in sharpening stone. The full tang construction beneath the stacked leather handle provides the strength. For display, the knife, Zippo lighter, and authenticity documents are housed together in a wooden presentation box with a glass viewing lid.
