The V-14 is a double-edged dagger developed in collaboration with custom knife maker Les George, winner of the BLADE 2014 Collaboration Knife of the Year award. The 6.75-inch blade is hollow ground from CPM MagnaCut at 61-63 HRC with four symmetrical bevels creating the double-edge geometry. This powdered metallurgy steel delivers exceptional edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Full-tang construction adds structural integrity throughout. SpartaCoat PVD finishes—DLC Flat Black or ZrN Flat Dark Earth—provide additional corrosion protection and eliminate glare.
George designed the V-14 with an oblong handle featuring flats on each side for positive indexing in low-light or high-stress conditions. The 3D-contoured G10 handles in black or green provide secure grip whether wet or dry. At 11.5 inches overall and 9.28 ounces, it balances traditional dagger proportions with modern materials and heat treatment processes—including vacuum heat treatment, double deep cryogenic treatment, and double tempering for enhanced toughness.
Made in the USA.
The V-14 takes its name from the Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar, designated V-14 in early military service. Used extensively for airborne operations and tactical airlift, it's a fitting namesake for a dagger designed to perform when deployed.
