CPM 15V Lockback with Brown FRN Handles
The Native Chief Lightweight is a larger Spyderco folder designed for hard use and outdoor tasks. It's a sprint run model with a brown fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle and a full-flat-ground CPM 15V blade, built for those who need a rugged, lightweight cutting tool.
Blade
The 4.02" blade uses CPM 15V tool steel with a stonewashed finish. CPM 15V is a high-vanadium, high-carbon steel known for excellent edge retention and toughness. The full-flat grind makes it efficient for slicing tasks while maintaining strength for harder jobs. At 0.125" thick, it balances cutting performance with durability.
Handle
Injection-molded brown FRN scales feature a bi-directional texture pattern for secure grip. FRN is a lightweight, impact-resistant material that resists moisture and won't warp. The handle is lightweight at 3.1oz, making the knife easy to carry all day.
Carry
The sturdy back lock mechanism secures the blade open, and the four-position pocket clip supports all carry preferences (right or left hand, tip up or tip down). Closed length is 5.08", and overall length is 9.05".
