The Spyderco Smock is a limited edition sprint run knife based on a design by custom knifemaker Kevin Smock. It features Spyderco's innovative Button-Release Compression Lock, which simplifies one-handed operation and enhances safety during use. The deep hollow-ground CPM REX 121 blade is known for its exceptional sharpness and edge retention, making it ideal for enthusiasts who prioritize cutting performance.

Blade

The blade measures 3.39" in length and has a thickness of 0.118". The Rex 121 steel used features high vanadium content with cobalt, providing extreme edge retention that is unmatched by most other steels. However, it is worth noting that this steel can be very difficult to sharpen due to its chippy nature.

Handle

The handle utilizes burnt orange peel-ply-textured G-10 scales mounted on skeletonized full stainless steel liners. G-10 is a durable and lightweight material, ideal for maintaining the knife's overall weight at just 3.8 ounces. The textured surface provides excellent grip, ensuring secure handling even in wet conditions.

Carry

The Smock features a reversible hourglass pocket clip, allowing users to carry the knife with either hand and choose between tip-up or tip-down positions. This versatile deployment system complements the Button-Release Compression Lock, which is designed for ease of use and reliability.
