TOPS Knives applies their overbuilt construction philosophy to the neck knife category, producing compact fixed blades that carry light but punch above their weight class. These are backup tools and everyday carry options built with the same full-tang construction and quality steel found in the larger TOPS lineup—scaled down for discreet carry without sacrificing durability.
Full-Tang Construction in Compact Frames
Every TOPS neck knife runs full-tang 1095 high carbon steel at 56-58 HRC, giving these small blades the structural integrity to handle tasks that would snap lesser designs. For users who need corrosion resistance over field serviceability, models like the Bull Trout run 154CM stainless steel—ideal for wet environments and fishing applications where exposure to water and blood is constant.
Blade Profiles for Different Applications
TOPS neck knives cover a range of cutting geometries. The Mini Scandi Survival (MSK 2.5) scales down the popular Brothers of Bushcraft design to a 2.75-inch modified Scandi grind blade, excelling at woodcarving and precision tasks. Each neck knife ships with a custom-molded Kydex sheath designed for neck carry via paracord or ball chain. Most sheaths also accept small belt clips for waistband carry, pocket carry, or pack mounting when neck carry isn't practical.
