The TRC Kosmos is a compact fixed blade built for everyday carry and considered use in the field. Inspired by Alexander von Humboldt's view of nature as an interconnected whole, it is a modern reimagining of the TR-12S, sized for practical tasks like cutting cord, carving a stake, or prepping a meal at camp rather than heavy expedition work.

Blade

The 3.35" drop point blade is made from RWL34, a Swedish powder steel known for fine edge retention, good corrosion resistance, and a clean, easy sharpening response. The Post Apocalyptic finish gives the blade a rugged, worn texture while the drop point shape balances a controlled tip with a strong belly for everyday slicing tasks.

Handle

The handle is Micarta, a composite made by compressing linen or canvas layers with resin under heat and pressure. It offers a secure, grippy feel even when wet and develops character with use over time. At 3.53oz total, the Kosmos carries light and stays unobtrusive in daily use.

Carry

The Kosmos ships with a Kydex sheath set up for horizontal carry, keeping the knife riding close to the belt and easy to access. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to manage - the full tang construction provides a solid, one-piece connection between blade and handle.
