The Puzon Wilderness Bowie from Work Tuff Gear is a full-size bowie built for heavy field work, drawing on classic bowie and bolo influences. It's sized and weighted for shelter building, game processing, and general camp duty where a large blade earns its keep.

Blade

The 7.3" bowie blade is made from SK85 carbon steel, a high-carbon steel known for holding a sharp edge and standing up to heavy chopping and batoning without chipping. The hand rub APO finish gives the blade a matte, non-reflective surface while adding a layer of corrosion resistance. At .196" thick, this blade has the mass to handle demanding outdoor tasks.

Handle

The 6.5" handle is finished in G-10, a fiberglass laminate that stays grippy in wet or gloved conditions and resists cracking or swelling. Total weight comes in at 19.5oz, giving the knife enough heft for chopping while remaining manageable for extended carry.

Carry

The Puzon Bowie ships with a black Kydex sheath, offering solid retention and quick, quiet draws. Kydex also holds up well to moisture and abrasion compared to leather, making it suited for field and outdoor carry. No lock mechanism applies here since this is a fixed blade - the tang runs solid through the handle for maximum strength.
