The WTG Borneo is a modern take on the traditional Southeast Asian parang, built for chopping and clearing work in the field. With a 12.5" blade and full-tang construction, this is a heavy-duty outdoor knife suited to bushcraft, camp chores, and expedition use where reach and cutting power matter.

Blade

The 12.5" parang-style blade is made from K329 steel at .198" thick, finished with a copper wash. The parang shape carries a forward weight bias that adds momentum to chopping strokes, similar to a machete but with more mass behind the edge. The copper wash finish adds a layer of corrosion resistance and gives the blade a distinct look as it develops character with use.

Handle

The handle is built from G-10, a fiberglass laminate that stays stable and grippy in wet or humid conditions. The full-tang design runs the steel through the entire 6.6" handle length for maximum strength during hard use. At 30.7oz, this knife has substantial heft that translates into chopping power.

Carry

The Borneo ships with a black Kydex sheath, a rigid polymer that offers secure retention and resists moisture and abrasion. No lock mechanism is needed since this is a fixed blade with a solid full-tang build. The sheath is set up for belt carry, keeping the long blade secure and accessible in the field.
