The Borneo is a modern take on the traditional Southeast Asian parang, built for clearing brush, processing wood, and heavy camp work. Work Tuff Gear designed this as a full-size field knife for anyone who needs serious chopping power in a durable, no-frills package.

Blade

The 12.5" parang-style blade is made from K329 steel at .198" thick with a copper washed finish. The parang shape carries forward weight toward the tip, giving it strong chopping momentum while the copper wash adds a layer of corrosion resistance and gives the blade a distinct worn appearance. At this length and thickness, the Borneo is built for heavy cutting tasks rather than fine detail work.

Handle

The handle uses Hunter Orange G-10 with a textured grip surface, backed by OD Green and white liners for visual contrast. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that resists moisture and stays grippy even when wet or dirty. Full-tang construction runs the steel through the entire 6.6" handle length for maximum strength. Total weight comes in at 30.7oz, giving the blade enough heft to drive through wood and brush.

Carry

The Borneo ships with a black Kydex sheath for secure, rattle-free carry. Kydex resists water and holds up to rough outdoor conditions better than leather. The sheath is built for belt or pack-mounted carry, keeping the long blade secure and accessible in the field.
