The Borneo is a modern field knife inspired by the traditional Southeast Asian parang, built for jungle and bushcraft work where reach and chopping power matter. Work Tuff Gear designed it for anyone who needs a dependable blade for clearing brush, processing wood, and general camp tasks.
Blade
The 12.5" parang-style blade is made from K329 steel with a satin finish and measures .198" thick. The parang profile carries forward weight toward the tip, giving it excellent chopping momentum while still allowing controlled slicing cuts. This blade length and thickness combination is built for heavy-duty outdoor use rather than fine detail work.
Handle
The handle uses black G-10, a fiberglass laminate valued for its grip texture and resistance to moisture, cracking, and wear. Full-tang construction runs the steel through the entire 6.6" handle length for maximum strength. At 30.7oz, the Borneo carries substantial heft suited to chopping tasks.
Carry
The Borneo ships with a black Kydex sheath that protects the long blade and allows for secure carry in the field. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism to manage - the full tang construction is what provides its strength and reliability during demanding use.
Made in Taiwan.
