The Work Tuff Gear V-44B is a large bowie-style fixed blade built for users who want serious size and presence in a field knife. This is a substantial tool meant for heavy chopping, camp chores, and anyone who wants a bowie that can handle hard use.

Blade

The 9.15" bowie blade is made from SK85 high-carbon steel, finished with a rugged copper wash. SK85 is a high-carbon steel that takes a sharp edge and holds up well under impact, making it a solid choice for chopping tasks. At .189" thick, the blade has the backbone needed for harder use without flexing. The copper wash finish adds some corrosion resistance over a bare polish while giving each blade a distressed, worn-in look.

Handle

The handle is black G-10, a fiberglass laminate that resists moisture and stays grippy even when wet or dirty. At 23.6oz overall, this knife has real heft that matches its 15.35" overall length and 6.2" handle, giving plenty of room for a full grip.

Carry

The V-44B ships with a black Kydex sheath, a rigid polymer that offers solid blade retention and resists wear better than leather. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to manage - the blade and handle are a single, solid piece of steel for maximum reliability. The sheath is built for belt or lashed carry, suited to its size.
