The Work Tuff Gear V-44B is a large bowie-style fixed blade built for users who want serious size and presence in a field or camp knife. With a 9.15" blade and full-length profile, this is a heavy-duty cutting tool for chopping, clearing, and hard outdoor tasks.

Blade

The 9.15" bowie blade is made from SK85 carbon steel, finished with a tiger stripe pattern. SK85 is a high-carbon steel that takes a sharp edge and offers good toughness, making it well suited to chopping and heavy-use tasks, though it requires routine oiling to prevent corrosion. At 0.189" thick, the blade has the mass behind it for powerful cuts.

Handle

The handle is wrapped in brown burlap canvas Micarta, a material made from layers of fabric soaked in resin and compressed under heat. Micarta offers a secure, textured grip even when wet and holds up well to hard use. Overall weight comes in at 23.6oz, giving the knife substantial heft for chopping work.

Carry

The V-44B ships with a black Kydex sheath, a rigid polymer material that offers durable, low-maintenance protection and a secure friction fit for the blade. The sheath allows for belt-based or strapped carry, suited to field and outdoor use.
