The Work Tuff Gear V-44B is a large bowie-style fixed blade built for users who want serious size and presence in a field or camp knife. With a 15.35" overall length, this is a substantial tool meant for heavy chopping and outdoor utility work.

Blade

The 9.15" bowie blade is made from SK85 carbon steel at .189" thick, finished with a dark wash. SK85 is a high-carbon steel known for holding a sharp edge and withstanding hard impact, making it well suited to chopping and heavy-duty cutting tasks. The dark washed finish helps mask wear and adds a layer of corrosion resistance compared to a bare polished blade. The bowie profile delivers a strong, aggressive tip with a long cutting edge for slicing and chopping alike.

Handle

The handle uses Forester Camo textured G-10, a fiberglass laminate prized for its durability and grip even in wet conditions. The texturing adds traction for a secure hold during hard use. At 23.6oz, this knife has substantial heft that adds momentum to chopping strokes.

Carry

The V-44B ships with an OD Green Kydex sheath, a rigid molded polymer that offers solid blade retention and quick-draw access. Kydex also resists moisture and holds up well to outdoor conditions compared to leather. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism involved - the full-length construction provides inherent strength and reliability.
