The 9.15" Bowie blade is made from SK85 high-carbon steel at 0.189" thick, finished with a hand rub APO treatment. SK85 is a carbon steel known for holding a sharp edge and taking impact well, making it suited to hard use tasks like batoning and chopping. The classic Bowie profile offers a strong clip point tip along with a long, substantial cutting edge.

Handle

OD Green burlap Micarta covers the handle, a material made by compressing layers of linen or canvas fabric with resin under high pressure. This construction gives a textured, secure grip that holds up well in wet or sweaty conditions. At 23.6oz, this knife has considerable heft for leverage-based cutting tasks.

Carry

The V-44B ships with a black Kydex sheath, offering a rigid, low-maintenance carry option with reliable retention. The sheath is built for belt or lashing setups suited to a knife of this size. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism - the blade and handle form one solid piece of steel for maximum strength.
