SK85 Fixed Blade with G-10 Handles

The WTG V-44B is a large bowie-style fixed blade from Work Tuff Gear, built for users who want serious size and presence in a field or camp knife. With a 15.35" overall length, this is a substantial blade suited to heavy chopping and outdoor utility work.

Blade

The 9.15" bowie blade is made from SK85 carbon steel at 0.189" thick, finished with a dark wash. SK85 is a high-carbon steel that takes a sharp edge and offers good toughness for chopping and heavy use, though like most carbon steels it requires some maintenance to prevent corrosion. The dark washed finish helps mask handling marks and adds a layer of surface protection.

Handle

The handle is OD Green textured G-10 over green liners. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate that is lightweight, rigid, and stable in wet or humid conditions, with a textured surface here for added grip. At 23.6oz, the knife carries significant heft that suits its large blade and chopping-oriented design.

Carry

The V-44B ships with an OD Green Kydex sheath for secure, low-maintenance carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock mechanism - the full-length construction provides inherent strength. The Kydex sheath allows for a quick draw and can be set up for belt or strap carry depending on your preferred mounting method.
