K329 Fixed Blade with Micarta Handles

The Work Tuff Gear V44C draws its lineage from the Marine Raider bowies carried by the 2nd Raider Battalion in WWII, scaled down into a compact format suited for daily carry. It keeps the clip-point bowie profile and fighting-knife lines of the original while refining the ergonomics for camp chores and everyday utility rather than combat.

Blade

The 4" bowie blade is made from K329 steel with a satin finish and measures .157" thick. The blade features a wide fuller inspired by the double fuller on the original V44, reducing weight while preserving strength along the spine. The clip-point profile gives a fine, controllable tip for detail work alongside the belly needed for chopping and slicing.

Handle

The handle uses black burlap canvas Micarta, a material made by compressing layers of canvas fabric with resin under heat and pressure. It offers a grippy, textured surface that holds up well when wet and develops character with use. Total weight comes in at 9.2oz, giving the knife solid presence without being cumbersome.

Carry

The V44C ships with a black carbon fiber Kydex sheath, offering a rigid, low-profile carry option that protects the edge and allows for a clean draw. Kydex resists moisture and wear better than leather, making it well suited to bushcraft and outdoor use. The sheath can be configured for belt carry to keep the knife accessible for daily tasks.
