Blade

American Blade Works 3D mills the 2.25 inch wharncliffe from CPM MagnaCut, hollow grinds it thin behind the edge, and runs it through heat treatment and a cryogenic temper before the lite stonewash goes on. The straight wharncliffe edge is the precision tool of blade shapes, putting full cutting pressure exactly where you point it, and MagnaCut lets a small blade work far above its weight class, with edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness that used to require three different steels.

Slipjoint Action

No lock, no clip, no battery of studs and flippers, just a properly tuned backspring holding the blade open under tension with a snap you'll open and close for the fun of it. The blade runs on phosphor bronze washers around a pivot and pivot screw cut from hardened 416 stainless, hardware chosen to keep that action crisp for decades. It's also the mechanism that makes this the travel-friendly knife in your rotation.

Handle

The 45 degree milling isn't decoration alone. Those diagonal grooves index your grip in hand without chewing up a pocket, and stonewashed titanium underneath keeps the whole package at 2.36 ounces, rustproof and ready for daily abuse.
