The Deadhead Pocket Bowie brings a classic bowie blade shape into a compact, modern folder. Auxiliary Manufacturing pairs a crossbar lock mechanism with a distinctive rose gold finish for an EDC knife that stands out while staying practical for daily carry tasks.

Blade

The 2.77" bowie-style blade is made from 14C28N steel with a rose gold PVD finish. 14C28N is a Sandvik steel developed specifically for knife blades, offering a good balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. The PVD coating adds a layer of surface hardness and protects against moisture while giving the blade its distinct color. The bowie profile features a clipped point and curved belly, useful for both detail work and slicing tasks.

Handle

The handle scales are Micarta, a composite made from linen or canvas layers saturated in resin and compressed under heat. Micarta is valued for its durability and grip texture that improves when wet, all while keeping the knife light at just 2.9oz.

Carry

This knife uses a crossbar lock, where a spring-loaded bar locks into a notch in the blade tang and releases when you slide it backward. It's an ambidextrous, fast-opening mechanism similar to what's found on the Benchmade Bugout series. The pocket clip can be set up for right or left-hand carry, tip up, making it easy to configure for your preference.
