The Deadhead Pocket Coffin is a compact tanto-blade folder from Auxiliary Manufacturing, built for collectors who want a distinctive carry with modern lock hardware in a small-footprint knife.

Blade

The 2.77" tanto blade is made from 14C28N steel finished in rose gold PVD. 14C28N is a Swedish stainless steel developed with input from knifemakers, offering a good balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. The PVD coating adds a hard, wear-resistant surface layer while giving the blade its rose gold color. The tanto shape has a strong, angled tip suited to piercing and hard-use cutting.

Handle

The handle scales are green Micarta, a composite made from linen or canvas layers saturated in resin and compressed under heat. Micarta is valued for its durability and the secure, slightly textured grip it offers even when wet. The knife weighs just 2.9 ounces, keeping it light for pocket carry.

Carry

This knife uses a crossbar lock, a mechanism where a spring-loaded bar rides in a track and locks the blade open; pulling the crossbar back disengages the lock for closing. The design allows fast one-hand operation and ambidextrous use. The pocket clip can be set for right or left-hand, tip-up carry.
