The Benchmade Adamas takes its name from the Greek for unconquerable, and it is the most overbuilt folding platform Benchmade makes. Custom maker Shane Sibert designed it to honor military members and first responders, with thick .14 inch blade stock, textured G10 handles, and the AXIS Lock. The family now spans manual, automatic, and fixed blade models in full and Mini sizes, and every Adamas is made in the USA with lifetime LifeSharp service.
The full size 275 carries a drop point of about 3.8 inches at roughly 6.5 ounces, a folder built to take abuse, in black or OD green G10 with plain or partially serrated edges. The 275-05 dresses it in marbled carbon fiber with a stonewashed blade. The Mini Adamas 273 trims to a 3.25 inch blade at 4.6 ounces with the same thick stock and construction, in black or OD green G10 or marbled carbon fiber.
The Auto Adamas puts the same frame on an AXIS automatic: pull the bar and the blade fires open, and the same bar closes it. The 2750 runs a 3.8 inch blade in OD green or desert tan G10, plain or partially serrated. The Mini Auto 2730 comes in black or OD green G10 and a carbon fiber 2730-03. See more like it in our side opening automatic knives.
For no pivot at all, the 375 runs a 4.2 inch MagnaCut blade on even thicker .17 inch stock at 5.66 ounces, as the black 375BK-02 or the 375FE-02 with an OD paracord wrap. It sits alongside the rest of our Benchmade fixed blade knives.
Today's Adamas runs CPM MagnaCut across nearly the whole line, mostly with Cerakote finishes, for toughness, edge retention, and rust resistance in one steel. The classic 275GY-1 keeps CPM CruWear, a very tough semi-stainless tool steel that built the platform's hard use reputation. Our comparison of every major knife steel puts both side by side.
