The Benchmade Adira is a waterman's everyday folder, built to get wet and keep working. It launched in May 2024 as the folder in Benchmade's Water Collection, made for bait prep, cutting line, and scaling small fish. It pairs a CPM MagnaCut drop point with a grippy Grivory handle and an AXIS Lock built with stainless steel internal parts, so salt spray does not seize the action. Hi-vis orange accents and an included orange paracord lanyard make it easy to find in a tackle bag or on a dark deck. Like every Benchmade AXIS folder, it is made in the USA.
The full size 18060 Adira runs a 3.88 inch blade, 9 inches open and 5.12 closed, at 4.23 ounces, which is enough knife to break down a catch. The 18065 Mini Adira trims to a 3.21 inch blade, 7.46 inches open and 4.25 closed, at 3.09 ounces, for everyday pocket carry. Both use .114 inch stock and a reversible deep carry clip.
Most steels make you choose between holding an edge and resisting rust. CPM MagnaCut, run at 60 to 62 HRC, does both. It stays sharp through slime and scales and shrugs off saltwater better than most stainless knife steels. A rinse in fresh water after a day out is all the care it needs. Our comparison of every major knife steel shows how MagnaCut stacks up.
Both sizes come in Depth Blue with a satin or stonewashed blade, or Tempest Grey with a Cerakote coated blade. Each is available plain edge or partially serrated, and the serrations saw through rope, braided line, and netting that a plain edge slides across. For fixed blades from the same water line, like the Undercurrent and Intersect, see our Benchmade fixed blade knives.
