Benchmade Bailout 537
The Benchmade Bailout 537 is the tactical sibling of the Bugout: the same ultralight thinking with a 3.38 inch tanto blade on thin .09 inch stock and a harder-use attitude. It runs 8.09 inches open and 4.7 closed, and most builds weigh 2.7 ounces or less, so it carries like a much smaller knife. Every Bailout opens on ambidextrous thumb studs, locks on the AXIS Lock, and is made in the USA with lifetime Benchmade LifeSharp service.
Why a Tanto on the Bailout?
A tanto puts a strong, angular point where a drop point has a fine one, so the tip holds up to piercing tough material and hard use. The long flat edge behind it makes clean push cuts on boxes, cord, and straps. On a knife this light, that tip strength is what lets the Bailout work harder than its weight suggests.

The core Bailouts run CPM M4, a tough high speed tool steel with a coated finish to guard against rust, in plain or partially serrated. The carbon fiber builds step up to stonewashed M390 on the 537-09 and black S90V on the 537BK-10.
