Benchmade Autocrat
The Benchmade Autocrat 3400 is the first Benchmade OTF built with composite handles: milled G10 over an aluminum frame, with blue sapphire titanium coated hardware for a flash of color. It fires a 3.71 inch double edge CPM S30V dagger on .105 inch stock, runs 8.75 inches open and 5.04 closed, and weighs 3.93 ounces. A reversible deep carry clip handles tip down carry on either side. It is made in Oregon City, Oregon, and backed by Benchmade's lifetime warranty and free LifeSharp resharpening.
How Does the Autocrat Double Action OTF Work?
Push the thumb slide on the spine forward and the blade fires straight out the front. Pull it back and the blade retracts, all with one hand and no need to touch the edge. That is what double action means: the same spring-driven mechanism both deploys and closes the knife, unlike a single action OTF that fires out but has to be reset by hand. Benchmade Autocrat vs Infidel
The Autocrat's double edge dagger with its fuller takes after the Infidel, Benchmade's classic OTF. The difference is in the hand. The Infidel wears an all-aluminum handle and a slightly longer blade, while the Autocrat's milled G10 feels warmer, grips better, and keeps the weight under four ounces. Choose the Infidel for the heritage duty knife and the Autocrat for a lighter everyday OTF.
Benchmade Autocrat Colors
Every current Autocrat pairs a black DLC coated S30V blade with blue hardware. The 3400BK wears black G10, the 3400BK-1 green, and the 3400BK-2 flat dark earth. The DLC finish cuts glare and adds a layer of wear and corrosion protection over the steel.
