Benchmade Slipridge
The Benchmade Slipridge is the newest family in the Hunt Series, built as a complete big game kit: a folder, a fixed blade, and a gut hook designed to work together. Both knives run stonewashed MagnaCut at 60 to 62 HRC on .114 inch stock, sharpened with SelectEdge at 14 degrees per side. Each comes in dark stabilized wood or high visibility Rust Orange G10, the color you can find again in the leaves. Every Slipridge is made in the USA as part of the Benchmade Hunt line.
Benchmade 15090 Slipridge Folder
The folder solves the oldest complaint about hunting folders, which is what gets inside the handle. Its user-removable scales cover the pivot to keep blood and grit out, then pop off for a real cleaning after field dressing. Under them sits full liner construction and Benchmade's next generation AXIS Lock. The broad 3.5 inch modified clip point runs 8.25 inches open and 4.76 closed, at 3.74 ounces in wood or 4.18 in G10, with contoured pinch points for detail work and ambidextrous thumb studs.
Benchmade 15650 Slipridge Fixed Blade
The fixed blade is the core of the kit. It has a 3.8 inch drop point with a high tip and a big belly, long enough to process large game yet nimble in tight spaces, on a handle shaped to resist rolling with a deep finger choil. Does the Slipridge Come With a Gut Hook?
Only in the combo. The 15650-COMBO in wood and the 15650-01-COMBO in G10 include the 11OR Slipridge Hook, a skeletonized 440C gut hook in Rust Orange Cerakote that rides in the same modular sheath. The standard 15650 and 15650-01 ship without it, and the hook is also sold on its own to add later. It handles both traditional gutting and gutless field dressing, opening the hide without puncturing anything you want to keep clean.
