The Bradford Guardian 3 is the original and flagship EDC fixed blade from Bradford Knives. Engineered around an integrated ricasso choil and a sub-seven-inch footprint, the Guardian 3 was built to replace a folder without giving up the strength of a full-tang fixed blade.
Integrated Ricasso Choil Maximizes Cutting Edge
The Guardian 3 skips the traditional forward guard. The unsharpened ricasso doubles as the finger groove, forcing a choked-up grip that shrinks overall length while preserving a full 3-inch cutting edge. The result is a fixed blade that disappears in the hand and on the belt without feeling undersized in use.
Steel Roster From MagnaCut to 3V
Pick your steel based on the work. CPM MagnaCut for the modern stainless benchmark. CPM 3V when toughness wins and corrosion is secondary. Cru-Wear for aggressive tool steel performance with semi-stainless behavior. Bohler M390 for high wear resistance with strong rust fighting. Elmax for a balanced all-purpose stainless. MagnaCut High Hardness builds are heat-treated higher for buyers prioritizing edge retention above all else.
Saber, False Edge, and Sheepsfoot Grinds
Three grind profiles fill the Guardian 3 lineup. Saber thickens the geometry behind the edge for durability under prying loads and harder field tasks. False edge thins the back of the spine into a clip for fast tip entry and detail cutting. Sheepsfoot drops the spine straight into the tip for controlled utility and clean board work.
Handle Materials and Blade Finishes
Handle options run 3D Micarta in Black, Natural, Green, and Camo, plus G-Wood, Carbon Fiber, microtextured G-10, and flat textured G-10 in colorways from Patriot Blue to Tigerstripe to Coyote Brown. Blade finishes include stonewashed, Nimbus, Black DLC, and High Polished.
