Bradford Knives builds the Guardian series of fixed blades in Kent, Washington, where Brad and Nicole Bradford founded the shop in 2012. CNC precision meets hand finishing on every knife, and a tight model range lets them put semi-custom steels and 3D contoured scales into knives that don't carry semi-custom pricing.
The original Guardian 3 is the benchmark EDC fixed blade, with a 3 inch edge and an integrated choil. The second generation Guardian 3.2 adds a choil lip and integrated guard, the Guardian 3 Cru-Wear runs the tough tool steel, and the Guardian 3.5 is the only one offered in a tanto and an XL build, with a Guardian 3.5 Cru-Wear version too. The skeletonized Nitro-V G-Necker and G-Tanto go lighter still.
The Guardian 4 is the survival step up with over four inches of edge, and the Guardian 4.2 MagnaCut comes with or without a finger choil. The all 3V Guardian 4.5 drops the choil for a full handle. The Guardian 5 stretches the blade for camp chores, the thinner Guardian 5.5 leans toward bushcraft, and the Guardian 6 is the longest blade Bradford makes.
Bradford runs MagnaCut in standard and high hardness, M390, CPM 3V, Cru-Wear, AEB-L, and Nitro-V, all compared in our knife steel guide. Sheepsfoot, drop point, and false edge profiles come in saber or full flat grinds, under 3D Micarta, G10, G-Wood, and carbon fiber. The same MagnaCut and full height grinds carry into Bradford kitchen knives.
Bradford backs every knife with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship for the life of the owner, repairing or replacing at its option. Damage from misuse, like using a knife as a pry bar or chisel, isn't covered, but Bradford's repair department can fix it for a reasonable fee.
