The Bradford Guardian 4 is where Bradford Knives' Guardian line crosses from everyday carry into a true survival and field blade. Longer and thicker than the Guardian 3 and 3.5, it carries over four inches of cutting edge on heavier stock built for camp, trail, and hard outdoor work.
Where the smaller Guardians make you choke up to reach the choil, the Guardian 4's choil is the default hand position. Your index finger seats in it by design, locking a secure four-finger grip for batoning, limbing branches, and long carving sessions without hand fatigue. The thicker spine and deeper belly give it mass the EDC models were never meant to carry.
The base Guardian 4 runs Bohler N690, a tough stainless that holds a working edge and shrugs off wet field conditions. CPM 3V steps up impact toughness for the hardest abuse. M390 pushes wear resistance for long edge life. CPM MagnaCut is the do-it-all option, balancing edge retention with corrosion resistance.
Saber grind keeps thick stock behind the edge for splitting and prying strength. Full flat thins the geometry for cleaner slicing and camp food prep. Sheepsfoot and false edge builds round out the range.
3D contoured Micarta in Natural, Black, Green, and Camo gives all-weather grip that breaks in to the hand. Richlite in Chocolate and Red runs dense and water-resistant. G-10 and Carbon Fiber take abuse and cut weight. Each knife ships with a vertical leather carry sheath and plastic liner, with Kydex available.
