The Bradford Guardian 4.5 is the hard-use member of Bradford Knives' Guardian fixed blade line. It takes the Guardian 4 platform, removes the finger choil, and puts more handle and more steel behind the edge for users who run a blade harder than EDC.
The choil that defines the Guardian 4 is gone. The 4.5 runs a full five-inch handle and an uninterrupted edge for a complete power grip, easy use with gloves, and nothing breaking up the cut. It also carries more material behind the edge than the Guardian 4, which reviewers consistently flag as thin for the hardest tasks. The 4.5 is built for that work.
This page is all CPM 3V, the steel knifemakers choose when toughness outranks everything else. It handles batoning, prying, and chopping without chipping or rolling. Being a non-stainless tool steel, it wants a dry, lightly oiled blade. The reward is an edge that survives abuse that ruins softer steels.
The 4.5 is offered in Cerakote, in Coyote and OD Green, for added corrosion resistance and a flat, non-reflective look. Black DLC, stonewashed, and Nimbus complete the options.
3D Micarta comes in Natural, Green, and Black. Microtextured Carbon Fiber and Ghost Green G-10 cut weight and add grip, plus Chocolate and Red Richlite. Carbon Fiber replacement scales are sold separately for owners who want to rehandle or refresh. Ships with the Guardian vertical leather carry sheath.
